David Trombley

David Michael Trombley, age 68, of Wyoming Minnesota, passed away on May 4, 2024.

David was born on July 31, 1955, to Richard and Fay Trombley, in Minneapolis.   He attended Columbia Heights High School where he excelled in football and wrestling.  

Throughout his career, David worked diligently in various roles, from scooping ice cream and flipping burgers at Bridgeman's to contributing his skills at Crown Iron before finally joining ASM. His dedication and hard work left a mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Throughout his life, David found joy in the simple moments, especially when surrounded by his family. His granddaughters held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the time spent with them, often flying down to Kansas to create lasting memories together. David's empathetic nature extended beyond his family, as he was always willing to offer a helping hand to those in need, embodying the true spirit of kindness and generosity.
 
A skilled grill master, David took great pride in his culinary talents, delighting friends and family with his expertise in grilling everything from hamburgers to kabobs. His love for cooking brought people together and created lasting bonds over shared meals and laughter.

One of David’s true joys in life was his admiration for Elvis Presley, whose timeless music brought him immense happiness and solace. His love for Elvis's music was a source of comfort and joy that he shared with those around him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Fay; brother, Dennis; niece, Brenda (Dan) McGrath; and many cousins.

He is survived by daughter, Cassandra (Brad) Hilker; granddaughters, Caleigh and Paisley Hilker; brother, Kenneth (Carol) Trombley; sister-in-law, Bernadette Trombley; nieces and nephews, Misty Trombley, Tonya (Toby) Nelson, Tammy (Andy) Stenzel, Christopher (Patricia) Trombley, Eric Partington; other family members and friends.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN.  Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.  

In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to David's, granddaughters' education.
