Clyde "Buster" B. Fulks age 94 of Forest Lake, MN passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2025.
Born on April 24,1931 in Racine, WI. Clyde was the son of Clyde J Fulks and Agnes (Reich) Fulks.
From Racine, WI, Clyde’s family moved to Minneapolis, MN. Eventually moving to Wyoming, MN where his parents purchased a farm. They farmed the land, owned dairy cows and other farm animals. Clyde remembered driving a team of horses pulling various farm implements at the young age of 11 to the chagrin of his neighbors.
Clyde attended school in Wyoming, MN until age 16. He then was employed at Minnesota Mining (3M). He worked there 44 years until retirement. At the time he was also pursuing a career in music as a vocalist. He had sponsors and was to be on the radio. When Uncle Sam called, the pursuit came to an end. Clyde instead used his talent singing solos at church, funerals and weddings.
When drafted into the military Clyde was proud of passing the entrance exam with a high enough score to be placed in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served 2 years at the Naval Torpedo Station in Keyport WA earning the National Defense Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge M-1.
He served in the reserves for another 6 years.
Clyde met his wife of 69 years, Leone Nygren in Forest Lake, MN. They married on September 22, 1956 at Faith Lutheran church, Forest Lake, MN. Clyde celebrated their anniversary each year by presenting Leone with a piece of nice jewelry or something similar. It was always a family celebration with Clyde M. and Johnna included. Clyde and Leone purchased a home, which Leone’s father built, also in Forest Lake. Living there until his death. Having a family was important to him. He had two children, Johnna Jenelle born 1961 and Clyde Melvin born 1962. His five grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Clyde was known for his generosity, humor, and love of family. He found jobs at 3M for family members, donated to church and other Christian organizations. He claimed Jesus Christ as his Savior at his mother’s knee. He served his church as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Usher, and Youth Leader. He loved slapstick humor. Especially Laurel and Hardy, the 3 Stooges and Foghorn Leghorn a Bugs Bunny character. He worked long hours to provide for his family. He still found time to coach baseball and softball, take family trips and other activities.
Clyde is survived by his wife Leone Fulks. His children Johnna (Mark) Hansen, Clyde M. (Deanna) Fulks. Grandchildren Jillian Hansen, Allison Hansen, Melissa Marquez, Mikaela Fulks, and Mikensi Fulks. Sister Carol (Gary) Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
