Cindy Sue (Rosenquist) Holmquist, 73, of Wyoming, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 15, 1953, to Charles Kenneth Rosenquist and Vera (Johnson) Rosenquist, Cindy lived a life distinguished by her devotion to family, her Christian faith, her extraordinary musical and artistic talents, and her generosity toward others.
A gifted musician, Cindy shared her passion for music with generations of students and members of her community. For more than 15 years, she taught piano lessons to hundreds of students, nurturing their abilities while instilling a music appreciation that extended well beyond the classroom. Her patience, encouragement, and dedication left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to learn from her.
Cindy's faith was central to her life. A longtime member of Cedar United Methodist Church, she generously contributed her talents as church organist, choir director, and handbell director. Through countless worship services, rehearsals, and special performances, she enriched the spiritual and musical life of the congregation. Her commitment to the church reflected a deep belief in the importance of faith, fellowship, and service to others.
An accomplished craftsperson and floral designer, Cindy also possessed a remarkable artistic spirit. She created handcrafted works, participated in craft shows, and designed floral arrangements for weddings and other special occasions. Her creativity, attention to detail, and appreciation for beauty were evident in everything she made.
In addition to her musical and artistic pursuits, Cindy dedicated more than 20 years of service to Target Corporation, where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and commitment to her colleagues and customers.
Above all, Cindy cherished her family. She shared 52 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ron Holmquist, building a life together founded on love, faith, and family. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Jennifer Gyenes and Kim Graewert, and a proud and affectionate grandmother to Mason, Aiden, and Kyra. Her family was her greatest source of happiness, and she took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments.
Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, creativity, steadfast faith, and the music she brought into the lives of so many. Her legacy endures through her family, the countless students she inspired, the congregation she served, and the many lives enriched by her friendship and talents.
