Chris R. Goebel, age 33 of Taft, California; formerly of Forest Lake, Minnesota, died on Monday, November 28, 2011 following a long and brave battle with schizophrenia. He will be lovingly missed by his parents, Carl and Cindy; sister, Jessica (Jason) Lakoduk; brother, Steven (Hilary) Goebel; nephew, Silas Lakoduk; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at The Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake.
The family will greet friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake; continuing from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the family.
