Candace Kay Specht-Oman, age 69, residing in New Richmond, Wisconsin, in a home shared with husband John “Jack” Oman. While surrounded by family Candace passed away on December 9, 2025 while battling a silent but aggressive form of cancer.
Candace was known as “Candy” to all friends and family. Which was fitting to how sweet and kind she was. She had a strong compassion for nature appreciating the beauty that plants, flowers, trees, and wildlife had to offer. She was creative within her hobbies, painting, writing, sewing, dabbling in interior design, and taking any opportunity to take something and make it special. She was big into her faith as a Jehovah Witness and found peace and comfort within her beliefs. She was married to her husband John “Jack” Oman on January 12, 1986 and they were married for 39 years. The love she shared with her husband gave them a wonderful life with three children. She loved and cared for her family up until her final days. She was an active grandmother making sure to nurture her grandchildren with love and kindness, while creating magic teaching them about the wonders of nature that surrounded them. She was always looking for any way to be helpful and make life a little brighter for everyone she met. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by parents, Herman and Helen; sister, Josephine; brother, Douglas; and sister, Judith. She is survived by husband, John “Jack” Oman; children, Jonathan (wife, Kayla), Arianna, and Katie (husband, Spencer); grandchildren, Charlie, Emily, and Lily. Along with an abundance of friends and family.
