Bruce Lynch, age 60, of Scandia, Minnesota, passed away on February 15, 2025.
Bruce was born on November 17, 1964, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to William and Constance (Sivesind) Lynch. He attended Marshall University High School and graduated from South High School before continuing his education at Century College. Bruce dedicated his career to serving others, working in security for Hennepin County.
Bruce will be remembered for his kindness, stubbornness, dedication to his family, and unwavering support for those he loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Peter; his children, Kristy (Tony) Stokvis, Miranda Peter Lynch, and Melanie (Ryan) Kunze; and his cherished grandchildren, Keegan, Kinsley, Keeley, and Evelyn. He also leaves behind his sister, Lisa (Todd) Kessler; niece, Nicole (Troy) Stubbs; and nephew, Carter Stubbs.
Bruce’s presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Bruce loved being able to get away, he bragged about being a “Japanese TV star” from his 20 seconds on Japanese TV while they made fun of the “stupid Americans” while vacationing in Japan. He loved the sun and beaches of Hawaii and firmly believed “no wild animals are in Alaska” after never seeing any while vacationing there. As a child, he lived for his summers in Iowa with his aunt and uncle. He spoke of causing chaos, learning to drive and race cars on his uncle’s race track, and learning to cook from his aunt.
Bruce enjoyed cooking, weekends often had new recipes being made or altered because he saw something or tried something and wanted to replicate it.
He loved animals, and would constantly ask why all the animals would constantly be hovering around him, and piling up on him. He spoiled them, and any other animal that came over, feeding them right out of the fridge or off the grill. He was devastated when they grew old and passed away. He has reunited now with the dogs and cats he spoiled before they passed.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday August 2nd, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., at the Forest Lake Community Center, 767 4th Street SW, Forest Lake, MN 55025
