Brian Anthony Gallagher, of Little Canada, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 63. He was born on August 22, 1963.
Brian was a laid-back guy who enjoyed a good time and never took life too seriously. He was the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. Whether he had known you for years or had just met you, Brian was always up for a conversation. He loved to talk shop and share stories about coworkers and job sites throughout the Midwest. If you asked Brian what he did for a living, his answer was simple: “I played with dirt.”
Brian was proud to be a Gallagher and, above all, proud of his family. He loved his children: his sons, Shane and Riley, his daughter, Isabel, and grandson, Clayton. He enjoyed coaching, supporting, and cheering his children on in their sports and took pride in being there for them as they grew.
Brian is survived by his children, Shane Gallagher, Riley Gallagher (Sheena), and Isabel Christian; his grandson, Clayton Gallagher; his siblings, Barb (Wally) Dill, John Gallagher, Linda Hoheisel, Pam (Hal) Leibel, Robert Gallagher, Jeff (Sandy) Gallagher, Joe Gallagher, Todd Gallagher, and Peter Gallagher; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Luella (Freeburg) Gallagher; his brother, Thomas Gallagher; his sister, Patricia “Patty” Ann Nelson; sisters-in-law, Anita Gallagher; nieces, Kellie Taylor; and nephews, Trevor Hoheisel, Chad Leibel, Zachary Crouse, and Travis Jarosiewicz.
Brian will be remembered for his easygoing personality, his love of a good conversation, the stories he shared, and his pride in his family. He lived life in his own way, and those who knew him will carry their own stories and memories of him with them.
Brian will be cremated privately. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date, giving family and friends an opportunity to gather, share stories, and remember Brian.
