East Bethel

Brian Bill Christopherson, age 78, of East Bethel, passed away May 9, 2024.

He was born in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Columbia Heights High School 1964.  He then served 2 years in the Army.  Later he graduated with a teaching degree from St Cloud State University and then went on to attend Dunwoody Institute where he learned welding.

He worked for many years as a Tinsmith/welder for Federal Cartridge (ATK) in Anoka, MN where he also taught many others to weld in a training course he developed. He was known affectionately there as “muffin” and retired in 2011 after 25 years.

He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.  Brian could build or repair just about anything.  He enjoyed working with his hands and if you needed something done, he was always there to lend a helping hand.  Some of his greatest joys included spending time with friends and family and attending events for his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Florence and Eugene Christopherson, brother Gary "Chris" Christopherson and niece Tammy, and Sister Donna Manders

Survived by longtime special friend Vicky Carling, Children Dr. Amy Anderson, son-in-law Joe and their children Sanna and Nolan, Son Daniel Christopherson, ex-wife Mary Christopherson and niece Dr. Nichole (Manders) Taylor and several dear friends.

Brian leaves a legacy of service to others and encouraging a strong work ethic.  While he was always quick with a smile and a joke, he would want you to remember “There are no rules at Brian’s”.
