Berniece Tiner

Berniece Erma Tiner was born February 5, 1935 in Sandstone, MN the youngest of nine children born to Harry Delbert Enos and Lucy Coy (Krouch) Enos.  She passed away peacefully on January 17, 2018 in Wyoming, Minnesota.  Berniece was a popular waitress in several of the Twin Cites’ finest gourmet restaurants, most notably The Camelot and The Blue Horse.  She enjoyed gardening, going to the lake, playing Scrabble and card games, and her wildlife outdoor visitors, but her favorite titles were those of mother and grandmother and she outdid herself in those roles.  Her family was her heart and she was the heart of her family.  Berniece’s life was transformed at the age of 40 when she asked Jesus to be the Lord of her life. She wanted everyone to know that she didn’t find religion – she found a personal relationship with a loving God.  Berniece is survived by her daughter, Joan Del Rio; grandsons, Abraham Del Rio (Gina Davis), Nicolas Del Rio (Rose Droher), and David (Megan) Del Rio; her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Toni, Donovin, Joe and Noah; her sister, Marie Brown; her special nephew, Lloyd “Rick” Enos, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lucile Wiener, Evelyn Doft, Ethel “Jackie” Nisley, Beulah “Boots” Franks, Eileen Hammond, Faye Amaro and brother Ira “Jack” Enos.  Deepest thanks to Lisa Remer of Fairview Partners, the staff at Fairview Hospice in Chisago and the compassionate caregivers from Foundations Group of MN, Inc.  Family and friends will gather for a visitation at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, MN on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 4:00-7:00 p.m.  and a Celebration of Her Life at Maranatha Assembly of God, 24799 Forest Boulevard, Forest Lake, MN on Wednesday, January  24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  There will also be a visitation at the church one hour before the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am.  Interment at Wyoming United Methodist Cemetery, Wyoming, Minnesota.
