Audrey J. Nordin

Audrey J. Nordin, age 81, of Vadnais Heights, formerly of Scandia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.

Audrey was born on June 27, 1944, in Stillwater, Minnesota, to John and Eloise Nordin. She spent her childhood in the Scandia area and attended the Big Lake one-room schoolhouse. Following her graduation from high school, Audrey began a career in banking. Through hard work, dedication, and a genuine gift for helping others, she built a successful career that spanned 38 years, ultimately becoming a personal banker. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she formed with customers and colleagues throughout the years.

Audrey had a love for travel and treasured the opportunities she had to explore the world with family and friends. Among her favorite adventures were trips to Europe and the West Coast, where she created many lasting memories. Earlier in life, she enjoyed sewing and dressmaking, taking pride in her creations and entering them in county fairs.

Audrey found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid puzzle enthusiast who completed hundreds of jigsaw puzzles over the years, appreciating both the challenge and satisfaction they brought. Family gatherings were especially important to her. She loved hosting Christmas celebrations in her home and creating a welcoming place where loved ones could come together. She was also famous among family and friends for her delicious cheesecake, a requested favorite at many gatherings through the years.

Audrey found great companionship in her beloved cat, Molly, who brought her much comfort and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eloise Nordin; her brother, Robert Nordin; and her nephew, Mark Nordin.

Audrey is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Devon “Frank” Nordin and Chuck (Jane) Nordin; her nieces and nephews, Barbara, Paul, John, Daniel, Christopher, and Sarah; several great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Elim Lutheran Church 20971 Olinda Trail N, Scandia, Minnesota. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Elim Lutheran Cemetery in Scandia.
