Audrey E. Nelson

We celebrate and remember the life of Audrey Nelson, born on January 15, 1934. Went to be with Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Audrey was a beloved wife to Arden, a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a woman who cared deeply for her family and found great joy in the people she loved. Audrey was also a dedicated nurse at Fairview Hospital. Her caring heart and willingness to help others were evident not only in her work, but throughout her life. Audrey was always there when someone needed a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or simply someone who cared. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending precious time with her family. Through the quilts she created, the gardens she tended, and the love she shared with those around her, Audrey left behind many beautiful memories. One of the greatest gifts Audrey gave to those who knew her was her faith. She lived out her faith in the way she loved, encouraged, cared for, and helped others. Her life was a reflection of the love she had for the Lord. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mildred Swanson; husband, Arden Nelson; daughter, Constance Nelson Reimers; brothers, Wendell, Oren, Kermit, Myron “Mike”, Bud; sister, Harriett Nelson.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Myra) Nelson, Joan Nelson; grandchildren, Heather, Stephen, Adam, Nolan, Kate; several great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Rundle; brothers, Gary and Paul Swanson; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Although we will deeply miss Audrey, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She is at peace, surrounded by God's love and glory. Audrey's life was a blessing to her family and to all who knew her. Her love, kindness, faith, and caring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Today, we say goodbye with sadness, but also with gratitude for the gift of Audrey's life and the many memories she gave us. We rejoice in the promise that she is now safely home with her Lord and Savior. Rest in peace, Audrey. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.

A service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2026 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in the Committal Hall, 15550 Highway 115, Little Falls, Minnesota 56345.
