Audrey J. Bowen

Audrey J. Bowen, beloved mother, and grandma, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, in Wyoming, Minnesota. Born on November 3, 1935, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Audrey grew up on the East Side of Saint Paul. She was a proud graduate of Johnson High School, Class of 1954. 

Following graduation she met the love of her life, Keith Bowen. It was love at first sight, and they were married a few months later. They raised their family of five boys in Oakdale. Audrey's love for her family was unmatched, always cheering on her boys in their various activities and never shying away from a friendly arm-wrestling challenge. A vibrant soul, Audrey was known for her warm smile, generous spirit, and no-nonsense attitude. She was a devoted member of Sweet Adeline’s and Unexpected Company, sharing her passion for music with the community. Audrey also enjoyed fishing, gardening and being with her family. Her impact on the lives of those around her will be forever cherished. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith, son, Victor; daughter-in-law, Lynne Hastings; granddaughter, Kimberly Sterba; one sister and one brother. 

She is survived by her sons, Lowell, Bradley (Gail Anderson), Ricky, Daniel (Kara); 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; four-legged baby, Coco; other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Wyoming United Methodist Church 5459 East Viking Blvd., Wyoming. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Wyoming. Though Audrey may have left this world, her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering love will be cherished for generations to come. Rest in peace, Audrey J. Bowen.
