Ardelle Wittwer

Ardelle M. Wittwer, age 93, of Columbus, Minnesota, died Sunday, October 13, 2019.  Ardelle was a generous woman who gave lovingly of her time and gifts.  She enjoyed long walks, reading, cooking and baking; especially her famous Christmas cookies.  She also enjoyed going deer and bear hunting with her sons.  Ardelle is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Dorothy (James) Olson; husband, Elmer Wittwer; son, Jari Wittwer; granddaughter, Karen Wittwer; daughter-in-law, Roberta Wittwer; siblings, Norma, Pete, Roger, Dale, Jimmy.  She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her including her children, Michael Wittwer, Jeanne Witte, Richard (Jacquelyn) Wittwer; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Wittwer; ten grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; siblings, Dean (Margie) Olson, Teddy Olson; nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake.  Memorials are preferred to the St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
