Alvin E. Frederick

Alvin A. Frederick, age 97, of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

Alvin proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.  His love for his country continued through his life with membership in the American Legion and the highlight of receiving an invitation to a Honor Flight in 2014 to Washington DC.  His working career consisted of a 32 year dedication to the SOO Line Railroad where he worked as an engineer. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Matilda (nee Paugel) Frederick; wife, Arlene Frederick; grandson, Eric Frederick; many siblings.  He will be deeply missed by his sons, Randy (Beth), Rick (Cheryl); grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Pesek, Matt (Katie) Frederick, Christa Frederick; many great grandchildren; brother, numerous other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Avenue North, Brooklyn Center.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2023 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to www.honorflight.org/donations
