Allan DeWolf, of Forest Lake, MN, died peacefully at home on June 26, 2026

Allan was born to parents Mabel Lillian DeWolf, nee Bloom, and Raymond Robert DeWolf on November 1,1932 in Stillwater, MN. His family moved to Milltown, WI in 1938.

Allan graduated from Milltown High School in 1951. He served his country in the United States Army as part of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment from 1953-1955. Allan made lifelong friends in the service that met frequently for reunions.

He returned to Milltown, WI in 1962 and spent 26 years raising his family, purchasing and expanding DeWolf Insurance Agency. He was a proud member of Milltown's American Legion Post for 75 years, serving in the Honor Guard for 35 years.

Allan and Janine moved to Wyoming, MN, in 1988 where he managed a senior mobile home park for many years.

Allan was well known for his dry sense of humor and always had a joke or story to share with people. He was famous for telling outlandish stories with enough sincerity to make people believe him, until he laughed.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Tucker DeWolf and sister, Beverly Letellier. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Pamela DeWolf, Melissa (Eric) Walcher and Suzanne (Phil) Maddox; granddaughters, Jordan Magnuson, Taylor Scholin, Krista Walcher and Ava Walcher, grandson, Jeffrey DeWolf; great-grandsons Quentin Tucker DeWolf and Kai Allan Walcher; sister, Carolyn Lewis; many nieces and nephews; family friend, Pat Chevron, who was loved by him like a daughter and his best friend and former wife, Janine DeWolf.

A special thanks from the family to Colleen & Gary Orde and staff at their Veteran’s Foster Care Home.

Allan will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, loyalty and laughter he brought to those who knew and adored him.

A Memorial Service will be held will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 11th at St Paul Lutheran Church, 5879 Wyoming Trail, Wyoming, MN, with lunch immediately following the service. Visitation will be prior to the service, starting at 1pm.
