David C. Griffith, age 92, of Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022. He was born July 23, 1929, in Madelia, Minnesota to John and Eleanor Griffith. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Nielsen in 1948. Dave was a hardworking, honest, and kind man with many friends. He worked for Paper Calmenson as a crane operator and Washington County Highway Department. While he appreciated both of his careers; his greatest pleasure in life was living on “the lake” with Carol where they enjoyed time with their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many special friends. Dave was a great storyteller who loved entertaining family and friends with stories which included his pleasure in marrying the “prettiest girl in town” and his pride in his sons, grandsons and great grandchildren. He was an avid John Deere collector and enjoyed driving his restored 1966 Chevy truck. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Eleanor; three sisters, Norma Bicha, Betty Eichler, Beth Saint.
