Rob Dixon

Rob Dixon, age 37 of the Forest Lake area, died Friday, May 8, 2009 surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer. Rob was born November 22, 1971 in Chisago City, Minnesota the son of Richard and Karen (Jensen) Dixon. He attended Forest Lake High School. Following high school he served his country in the United States Navy during Desert Storm. Rob worked for several years at Waldoch Crafts and most recently for Automotive Concepts as an automotive accessory installer. In his free time, Rob enjoyed “tinkering” with small engines, riding his four wheelers and minibikes, spending time outdoors and most importantly being with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Dixon and Karen Jensen Welch. He will be dearly missed by those whom his life touched including his devoted wife Cheri Theuer Dixon; siblings, Rick, Doug, Joe, Brenda (Danny) Ferreira, Tina; nieces and nephews, Denea, LeeAnne, Lyndsey, Rick, Nicole; special friends, JoDell Engwer, Gary White, Elliott Engwer; step-father Vern Welch; and his black labs, Homer and Sassy.

A Celebration of His Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service and following the service a luncheon will be held at the Coon Lake Community and Senior Center. Memorials are preferred to the family.
