Penny Kowalewski

Penny Kowalewski, age 58 of Pine City, formerly of Forest Lake,
died, Monday, October 23, 2006 at Birchwood Health Care Center after succumbing to cancer.
Penny was born and raised in Forest Lake where she graduated from high school. She co-owned and operated My Place restaurant from 1993 until the area was sold for development. Following the sale of her business she retired to the Pine City area, where she worked part-time at Tobies in Hinkley.
She is preceded in death by her husband "Mitch" on November 11, 2005 and her son Christopher.
She is survived by her loving daughter Tiffany Glinnon; grandson Michael Madigan; parents Ben and Helen Berggren; sister Mary (Steve) Cunningham.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family interment will take place at Wyoming United Methodist Cemetery.
