age 88 of Linwood Township, MN. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 16, 2005.

Murton Mulvihill was born February 23, 1917 in Danvers, MN, the son of John and Ella (Bullard) Mulvihill. He grew up on an 800 acre farm in Hancock, MN. Following high school he attended North Central Bible School until joining the United States Army. He served our country as a medical technican during WWII. Following his discharge he was united in marriage to Ruth Pearson. They moved to the Martin Lake area in 1947 where they raised their family. Murton was self employed as a mechanic, plumber and well driller. He also served local churches as a lay pastor. Murton attended Linwood Covenant Church and was a volunteer with the Linwood Fire Department and proudly started church services in the Linwood area with the American Sunday School Union. Murton will be remembered as a follower of Jesus Christ and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; son David Jon; grandson Jonathan Keith Jordan; son-in-law Jack Jordan; siblings, John, Erma, Burt, Rachel, Neva, Fern, Stella, Amber.

He is survived by his children, Judith Jordan, Philip (Maria Kent), Karin (Arvid) Weflen, Nancy (Donald) Griffith, Stephen, Carmen (Al) Cady, Janet (Chuck) Steiner, Daniel; grandchildren, James, Jack, Jay, Jeanna, Rachel, Anne, Erik, Bryan, Alisha, Kevin, Victor, Tiffany, Levi, Caleb, Sarah, Joseph, John; great grandchildren, Bailey, Devon, Dylan, Jordan, Dyllan; brothers, Luverne (Eleanor), Clair (Eileen), Richard (Marge).

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday., December 22, 2005 at Linwood Covenant Church, 6565 Viking Blvd., Linwood. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 pm., Wednesday., at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial at Linwood Township Cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
