Martelle Sherman

Martelle Sherman passed away at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. She will be missed by her children – Vickie (Tony), Gwen (Rick), Gayle, Dave (Diane), Keven and Michelle (Bryce), her grandchildren Christian, Amelia, Eric, Matthew, Sarah, Dana, Deanna, Mac, Jay and Jordyn and her 9 great grandchildren. Never to settle in one place too long, her career choices included banking, selling real estate and eventually fulfilling her dream of owning Martelle's by the Lake – a boutique with a coffee shop. She had a passion to live life to the fullest – no matter what the circumstance. She viewed each day as a gift from God and put her trust in him. She never lost her sense of humor and ability to find something good about the day no matter how tough it had been. She played a wicked game of 500, enjoyed playing scrabble and loved to tend to the gardens at Ecumen. She will be missed dearly but is free of her earthly body and with the Lord – and for that we can find peace and comfort.
