The death of a loved one is one of life’s most painful experiences. As you travel along the path of grief, you may feel at times as though you’re wandering in a fog of sorts-uncertain as to what lies ahead or which way to turn.
With the help of your faith, and of your family and friends, you may find renewed hope and life, and signs along grief’s path that will help you to know that you’re going in the right direction.
At Mattson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, we want you to know that you are not alone; that we will continue to support you. The following information is a guide to the services that we provide. We offer a loving hand of friendship and support to you and your family on this journey toward healing.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Kelly Haus, our in-house Aftercare Support Coordinator. Kelly has been with us at the funeral home since 1998, when she began as a funeral assistant. Kelly is now available to provide support, as well as resources, to help you and your family better understand the grieving process. Available resources include books on grief, literature, and contacts with local grief support providers and/or support groups.
We Care
Please know that while our mission is to serve families and help them to celebrate the life of a loved one, we are very aware that grief does not come to an end as you leave the funeral service. The need to talk about the loss of a loved one may seem overwhelming after a day, or week, or month, or even years. Long after family and friends have returned to normal schedules, you may still feel a need to talk to someone who is willing to listen and understand. We hope that you will welcome Kelly’s call to visit with you. In addition to a listening ear, she is willing to help in she is able, including help with difficult paperwork or necessary phone calls. You are welcome to stop by or to call the funeral home to request information on the options and resources available for coping with grief.
